The building, originally designed and built as part of the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition, is currently under expansion. However,all exhibits remain free to the public. Citygarden, a sculputure park in downtown St. Louis, is a great year-round destination for visitors and residents alike. Walking figures and 22 other works of art placed throughout the park, designed to reflect the geographical features of the area: limestone bluffs, native trees and plants, and the Mississippi River. Part of the Gateway Mall, this free venue is great enjoyment at any time of the year.
